Hillary and Humphrey
We have had a lot going on. In January, we had to put Hillary to sleep. She got sick and within a week we had to put her to sleep. We found out she had Cancer. That was one of the hardest days (or so I thought) that I have lived, until May when we had to put our other dog Humphrey to sleep. Humphrey had tumors and took a dive for the worse. 4 months to the day of putting Hillary down, and on his 13th Birthday we had to put him to sleep. Now that was awful......not so much that he was out of pain, but for the pain I had in my heart. You see, that stupid dog was my companion and buddy. He was my protector and confidont. Crazy! I know, that dogs could do that to you. Each day I think about those two, and just hope that they are running and playing in heaven together.
When we put Hillary to sleep, we noticed that Humphrey was lonely, just not himself, so we started "shopping" around for a new dog. We knew we wanted a puppy (oh, how I had forgotten how much work they were!) and found "Madison". Now, knowing how my husband works, I knew it would take a while for him to warm up to the thought.....and it did. I had been checking Petfinder (http://www.petfinder.com/) . My friend Carol found "Madison" so I inquired and she was still available. We set up an appointment to meet her. The day of the appointment, my husband said don't get attached "just in case". REALLY? REALLY? Well, let's just say, it wasn't me who got smitten right away! We adopted her and brought her home the same day. Now, while driving to my parents, (gotta show off the new fur-grandbaby) we had tochange her name. Not in the "H" family. Larry came upon the name "Holly" "Holly Madison" and I joking laughed when we got a new boy dog, would he name it "Heff". So Holly Madison is now her name and she is loving it here! She is a typical puppy and we are now living through her puppy chewing and digging phase UGH!!!
I have been busy with school, just plugging away, with graduation in December. I know Holy Cow!~ I am doing my internship this summer and am quite excited about that.
I did do something fun yesterday, I was part of a FLASH MOB! I know, COOL! My friend Laura works for BCBS of Michigan they were planning a flash mob for the Detroit River Days this weekend. So she asked a few of us if we wanted to do this and I was sure. I then started thinking about it and got nervous. I pratriced with the video and was ready to performance time. It was C R A Z Y! It was so much fun. I had it listed on my "bucket list" and now I can truthly cross it off! Here is the link for the video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcXldLmFQw0
I promise now that I am off for the summer I promise to post a little more, no really I do!

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Hillary and Humphrey. It is so hard to say goodbye to our pets - they are members of our family. Hugs. I hope that the new puppy's arrival has helped take your mind off of things. I'm sure you're so busy dealing with the puppy stage that you don't have much choice.
Very cool flash mob video - looks like so much fun!!
Graduation is right around the corner for you - yeah!
Thanks for the kind remarks. Both of their deaths hit us out of no where. I sure miss my buddies....oh but Holly is sure being a little rascel and keelping me on my toes!
Flash Mob was very cool...I was nervous at first saying OK bit once it all started WOW WEE!
I have waited so long to get school done that it finally has set in that it is almost over. I will graduate at 49. Who knew!
